creativity with purpose

Business strategy + design & creativity

Two of my favorite things in marketing:
Organic results
Momentum

So, I work really hard to create things like:
Approachable technical info, human-centric inspiring stories, unforgettable events, and  content that's actually interesting (let's be honest, a lot of corporate content isn't).

I'm not interested in "done."
I'm interested in things that work.

Smart strategy. Unexpected storytelling.
To help good ideas spread.

Building a Beloved Brand

When I began working with Cottonwood Custom Builders, they were quietly building some of the most sustainable, fire-resilient homes in the United States, right in the foothills of Boulder, Colorado. Despite their groundbreaking work, their social following/brand recognition was low.

I saw an opportunity to change that. And I did. As a solo team handling all graphic design, web management, social media, PR, public speaking, and event coordination.

Some favorite results:

  • Increased social media following by 900%, with Reels reaching up to 15K organic views
    • AND audience was Boulder centric - ie: not chasing vanity follows, but real, local community
    • My favorite fact: Boulder locals started to recognize our project managers at the grocery store

  • Ranked #1 for "home builder boulder" search results on Google

  • Earned national and local media coverage, coordinated with film crews/producers, including:
  • Cottonwood became a beloved local brand. Won “Best of Boulder – Homebuilder” (2020–present) without campaigning

my goal: be worth slowing down to admire or find inspiration
(and maybe even learn something!)

/ cultivate energy optimization

Making Data Actionable & Engaging

Cultivate came to me with a 175-page energy audit report that no one was reading.

Their audience needed insight into clear, practical steps to reduce facility energy use.
But follow-up surveys showed most recipients weren’t reading it: the existing report was simply too long and overwhelming.

I audited the existing report, streamlined the narrative, and redesigned the content with clearer structure and new data visualizations. The final deliverable was a fully branded, fillable PDF template that any team member could assemble without compromising design quality.

To make updates fast and foolproof, I built Excel table templates that auto-generate charts, then paired them with a modular PDF system where teams can drop in project-specific values, notes, and recommendations using familiar tools.

Result: a dense 175-page document transformed into a clear, compelling 12-page report.

Logos & Branding

I love to strategize visual branding from the ground up.
Logos, style guides, brand voice, you name it!

There's too much to share here, but to start: some logos

Elizabeth had been working with another web designer for a few months, but it wasn't right.

She booked me for a day rate on a Wednesday. By Friday, we'd published her new site, which she loves. We also refined her logo, simplifying the color palette and subtly modernizing her brand font. I continue to work with Elizabeth as she develops her brand and marketing strategy for her budding sound bath and meditation studio in Denver, CO.

Architectural Photography

I bring an eye for composition and a love of welcoming, well-designed spaces to every architectural shoot. I’ve worked with high-end custom builders, real estate agents, and homeowners to capture the beauty, flow, and feeling of their spaces—whether for portfolios, listings, or publications.

I shoot with a Sony A7ii and wide-angle lens to ensure crisp, dynamic images that do each space justice.

Project: The Great Library Docuseries

Role: Video producer, content creator

My Roles

Led Content Planning and Creation
I personally wrote, designed, or planned all of the bonus content, copy wrote and designed the landing page, and collaborated with vendors/agencies.

My articles consistently outperformed typical engagement benchmarks, with one article earning a featured spot on the Trimble corporate homepage.

Talent Acquisition & Collaboration
This was a global project, featuring real-world exceptional architects, engineers, and builders. I helped manage talent, at times selecting and establishing relationships with new talent.

Video Production & Creative Direction
Came up with ideas for engaging, high-performing videos, using extra footage not featured in the main episodes. While the agency edited the episodes, I personally planned and edited the bonus content videos. My most popular video has 130,000 views last I checked.

Video Shoot Production
Selected the Randselva Bridge as a filming location, did initial outreach, secured permissions/talent, and managed shoot all the way through to on-site video production and interviewing talent. We captured so much valuable footage that it was used in both Episode 3 of The Great Library as well as a separate five-part series all about the Randselva bridge.

But don't take it from me that this series had some awesome content...
The Great Library won Chief Marketer's Pro awards for:
'Best Content Marketing'
AND
'Best Video Marketing.'
