Construction, Reimagined.

Project: The Great Library – A documentary-style series reimagining the ancient Library of Celsus using modern construction technology

Audience: Construction professionals, including architects, engineers, MEP, and contractors

Series Preview
Construction often gets a bad rap—slow to change, high on emissions. But fear doesn’t move industries forward. Inspiration does. The Great Library was created to meet construction professionals where they are and show what’s possible through technology: smarter, more efficient, and more sustainable building.

This thought leadership series by Trimble reimagines the ancient Library of Celsus as a modern facility—captured in documentary-style episodes that follow real architects and engineers using advanced tools like point clouds and connected construction workflows.

Key project contributions

Content Strategy & Execution
Led the content strategy for The Great Library, combining interactive assessments, long and short form video, and editorial content to engage construction professionals. I personally wrote/designed much of the creative and written content, while managing third-party vendors for specialized needs (e.g. coding custom assessments).

Talent Acquisition & Collaboration
Sourced and partnered with internationally renowned architects, engineers, and builders to ensure every episode featured credible, real-world expertise. Coordinated across global internal teams and external voices to align messaging with industry priorities.

Video Production & Creative Direction
Led end-to-end production of all bonus video content for The Great Library, including concept development, scripting, editing, and custom cover art design. My videos reached wide industry audiences — over 1 million views across the series, with individual bonus content videos reaching up to 130,000 views.

In addition to hands-on creation, I collaborated with a London-based production agency on the core documentary episodes—driving planning meetings, directing creative approach, and leading script development and rewrites to ensure clarity, engagement, and alignment with Trimble’s brand voice.

Technical Content Author
Authored all supporting articles and web content for The Great Library series, translating complex construction technology into engaging, accessible narratives for architects, engineers, and builders. I also contributed to broader Trimble Construction communications, aligning messaging with both product strategy and industry trends.

My content consistently outperformed company-wide engagement benchmarks, with one article earning a featured spot on the Trimble corporate homepage.

Global Video Production
Identified the Randselva Bridge in Norway as a model of next-gen construction. Coordinated and traveled for on-site filming, resulting in featured footage in Episode 3 of The Great Library and a separate five-part mini-series.

Award Submissions & Strategy
Supported strategic marketing efforts by writing and editing award applications that positioned Trimble’s work—and this series—for external recognition. The series won Chief Marketer's Pro awards for 'Best Content Marketing' and 'Best Video Marketing.'

Putting the Spotlight on Green Building

When I began working with Cottonwood Custom Builders, they were quietly building some of the most sustainable, fire-resilient homes in the United States—right in the foothills of Boulder, Colorado. Despite their groundbreaking work, few outside the industry knew their name. I saw an opportunity to change that.

Brand Strategy & Marketing Execution

Over five years (4 years as a part-time consultant, 1/2 year full-time), I led a full-scale marketing transformation:

  • Rebuilt and rewrote the company website to better reflect their innovation and values
  • Visited jobsites weekly to document construction progress and tell the home's story
  • Increased social media following by 900%, with Reels reaching up to 15K organic views (please note that I quit managing their social media in 2024 and the quality has changed)
  • Negotiated and managed advertising contracts, including media buying and placement strategy
  • Designed full-page print and digital ads
  • Represented Cottonwood at high-profile events and green building conferences
  • Took final architectural photography to showcase the home

National Recognition & Earned Media

My storytelling efforts helped earn national and local media coverage, including:

  • The Weather Channel (national segment)
  • Denver Channel 7
  • Fox 31 Denver

Bonus: My drone footage even made it into the news coverage!

Results

  • 150% corporate revenue growth
  • Multiple earned media features, including national TV
  • Consistent winner of “Best of Boulder – Homebuilder” (2020–present)

Making Data Actionable & Engaging

Cultivate came to me with a 175-page energy audit report that they wanted to make more compelling and actionable. But let's be honest, who has time to read and digest 175 pages? Certainly not their target audience!

The readers were small business owners, who ideally would get a few actionable ways to reduce their facility's energy consumption from the report. However, due to the report's overwhelming length, follow-up surveys showed that most recipients weren't reading it.

After reviewing the existing report, I worked with the founders to remove unnecessary info, highlight key points, and show data more compactly and clearly.

The end product was a fully branded, fillable PDF, created so that any of their team members could assemble it without compromising design. I created excel templates for the various tables they needed to generate, aiming to make the data easier to interpret and to improve branding consistency. Wherever possible, I linked fields and streamlined data inputs, making the report quick and easy to assemble.

After the redesign, we were able to reduce the 175-page document to a compelling 12-page report.

Elizabeth had been working with another web designer for a few months, but it wasn't right.

She booked me for a day rate on a Wednesday. By Friday, we'd published her new site, which she loves. We also refined her logo, simplifying the color palette and subtly modernizing her brand font. I continue to work with Elizabeth as she develops her brand and marketing strategy for her budding sound bath and meditation studio in Denver, CO.

Architectural Photography

I bring an eye for composition and a love of welcoming, well-designed spaces to every architectural shoot. I’ve worked with high-end custom builders, real estate agents, and homeowners to capture the beauty, flow, and feeling of their spaces—whether for portfolios, listings, or publications.

I shoot with a Sony A7ii and wide-angle lens to ensure crisp, dynamic images that do each space justice.
